Porotech Advances End-to-End MicroLED Optical I/O to Break the AI Data-Movement Bottleneck

As AI and high-performance computing continue to scale, moving massive volumes of data efficiently between chips, systems and racks has become a critical challenge. Conventional high-speed electrical interconnects are increasingly constrained by bandwidth density, power consumption and signal integrity.

MicroLED optical interconnects offer a new path forward for next-generation data centers. Building on its expertise in MicroLED and semiconductor integration, Porotech brings together drive electronics, Tx/Rx, optical routing and advanced packaging to develop an integrated Optical I/O platform.

Rather than pushing a small number of channels toward ever-higher speeds, Porotech’s Wide & Slow architecture uses a large number of low-power optical channels operating in parallel—delivering higher aggregate bandwidth density while reducing power and thermal constraints.

From AOC today to future NPO, CPO and chip-level Optical I/O, Porotech is working with ecosystem partners to advance scalable optical connectivity—breaking the I/O wall and enabling the next generation of AI infrastructure.
