DSCC AR/VR Display Forum

“Unlocking microLED display solutions for consumer AR glasses with DynamicPixelTuning™”

Our CEO, Dr Tongtong Zhu, will be presenting at this year’s online DSCC AR/VR Display Forum on 20-21st September.

Abstract:

Earlier this year, Porotech unveiled an innovative advancement in microLED technology in the form of DynamicPixelTuning™ (DPT™) – a world first for LEDs, enabled by our engineered porous GaN (PoroGaN®) platform technology. Here, each individual DPT™ pixel is a single microLED emitter which can natively emit all wavelengths from red to blue. For full colour microLED displays, this removes the need for ‘RGB’ sub-pixels made from different material systems and no further colour conversion/filtering or complex stacking architectures are required. Full colour emission can be achieved at the wafer level, from identical pixels, on a single wafer, in a single epitaxy and using a single (InGaN) material system. This removes key manufacturing roadblocks and simplifies system design to deliver high performance microLED displays suitable for AR applications. This talk will introduce the DPT™ technology and Porotech’s progress and offering in the microLED display space.
