14th December, 2020 – On Wednesday 9th December, the 2020 “Win the Future” Venture Contest Finals took place in Suzhou, China, where ten outstanding talent projects from 483 entries in five divisions from Europe, UK, North America, Japan and Oceania were presented to expert judges. Porotech CEO Tongtong Zhu presented Porotech’s technology, titled “Industrialization and mass production of new advanced nitride semiconductor materials and chip technology”, and came away with the first prize.

The “Win the Future” International Maker Competition was founded in 2011. It is a global high-level talent innovation and entrepreneurship brand created by Suzhou, with the competition interacting with Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week, which is in its 12th year. The aim of the competition is to continuously excavate outstanding talents and projects in leading industries and cutting-edge technology fields, promote the precise connection of talents, projects, industries, and capital, and build a green channel for innovation and entrepreneurship to Suzhou.

Suzhou, located in the southeast of China, is one of the important central cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and has been emerging as one the most active cities in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, with the four leading industries of next-generation information technology, biomedicine, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence becoming strategic growth points to support Suzhou’s future development.

The competition win is the latest in recognition for Porotech’s technology, as the company was recently added to Cofinitive’s #21toWatch Companies longlist.
